User Review: An In-depth review of Modern Warfare 2

Punkbebeluva reviewed Modern Warfare 2 in IGN.com and he gave 9.8 out of ten for this game.

“First I am gonna mention that this game is a MUST-BUY. I dont care if I didnt give it a perfect 10, but buy it anyway (and did MGS4 or GTA4 deserve 10s either? no.).
Ok to begin, the campaign is just incredible. It’s very fun and replayable, and the levels are very diverse, you go from snowmobiling to jumping around on roofs. I think the campaign is much better than in cod4. For those looking for difficulty, I would say that veteran is SLIGHTLY easier than COD4, but there were still points when I kept dying (great challenge). The AI is still decent, if not stupid at times, but still good enough nonetheless. The sound is loud and obnoxious, just like it should be, with great voice acting. The graphics look excellent as a whole (especially the environments this time around) but there is still this weird shadow texture if you look at objects up-close (in no way does this hinder the game). The gameplay is also excellent with a LOT more guns and types of missions.

I have yet to play Spec Ops, but my friends say its very fun and also challenging.

Now for the multiplayer. man o man is this shit amazing. First the maps. AMAZING! the maps are so well thought out in this game. There is barely any symmetry, so you better watch out around every corner. Best of all, some levels have 3 or even 4 stories of buildings! This provides so much more tactical usage of play. Also I want to mention how on one of the maps, you can run around on rooftops and jump from buildings into windows on OPPOSITE buildings (thats some jason bourne shit right there).
The Guns and customization is also quite excellent. However, just a warning, there is so much customization that some people may be overwhelmed at what classes to sue at first. I also think that the guns are harder to get use to like in CoD4 when people just used the first gun offered (m16) forever (and trust me, the Famas is that good). Anyway, the live is enough to keep people playing forever and ever. And also forgot to mention the many types of killstreak rewards. This is one of my gripes with the game….i love the types of killstreaks, but it makes me feel like im not playing for anything. In previous titles, I always wanted to get the chopper or the dogs. Now im playing for kills because there are so many types of killstreaks and PLENTY people get them in the game. Basically, getting a killstreak is sorta of like an afterthought.

All-in-All, modern warfare 2 is one of the greatest titles I ever played. BEst game on Xbox 360, but i dont know if anything will ever be better than the old Ratchet and Clank and Jak and Daxter games…lol”
